Join Eya for this live, in-person performance of The Unicorn, inspired by the mysterious and haunting”Lady and the Unicorn ” tapestries at the Musée du Cluny in Paris.
This performance features medieval music of women composers and readings from medieval women mystics, including Hildegard von Bingen, Julian of Norwich, Teresa of Avila, and more as we undertake the spiritual journey towards divine union with the Beloved.
It also features Baltimore-based composer (and friend of Eya) Douglas Buchanan’s setting of one alone, featuring a remarkable text by 13th-century Beguine mystic Marguerite Porete.
This performance will also be streamed and archived on the church’s YouTube channel.
