TICKETED EVENT

“The serpent beguiled me, and I ate.”
Genesis 3:13

This is our final culminating performance of the fall season.

Eya presents a new program, Beguiled: a confrontation of ancient thought and perception surrounding the sin of Eve in the Garden of Eden and the subsequent redemption of women in the Virgin Mary, as treated by medieval mystic Hildegard von Bingen (1098-1179).

This centerpiece performance will feature the voices of Eya and a newly commissioned work, “Beguiled,” written and performed by Chanda Rule, and includes community participation. The performance will also feature the spoken texts of our special guests: the young women of Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart, who have offered their own response to Hildegard’s conception of Eve and Mary, all interwoven with the ecstatic songs of Hildegard von Bingen.

This event will be livestreamed privately to our YouTube channel. Attendees will receive an email with a private link to the event after ticket purchase.

Tickets are $15 per household, and are included with all Season Subscription levels. The performance recording will be available online for five days following the performance.

You will not want to miss this magnificent, ethereal, ground-breaking event!
