Join us for Class Three of this new online lass, led by Eya’s director, voice coach, creativity teacher, and mystic Allison Mondel.
We will explore a deeper dimension of singing and medieval chant as a vehicle for personal transformation.
The Fall 2023 Online Song Class Series will focus on the works Hildegard devoted to her great inspiration, Saint Ursula and the 11,000 virgins.
The purpose of this class series is to embody these works with our voices, and integrate their themes of virginitas, humilitas, and bhakti devotion in our present-day lives via a Wisdom-centered approach to Hildegard’s music.
In each class we take a fresh, heart-centered approach to singing the body of songs composed by Saint Hildegard von Bingen known as the Symphonia armonie celestium revelationum (“Symphony of the Harmony of Celestial Revelations”), or Symphonia for short.
We will explore both the metaphysical and embodied practice of using the voice in connection to the Divine Beloved through our intentional singing. Each class will focus on a specific song while discussing, contemplating, understanding, and integrating its personal, spiritual, and archetypal themes (while transcending any particular religious or doctrinal views).
Through the marriage of the voice, breath, presence, and intention, we will allow a greater capacity for our creative potential, dissolve the interference of doubts and fears, honor the Inner Divine, and make way for an expansive version of our Self using the vehicle of the Symphonia.
